Greetings to you all! I mentioned in my last note that I was working to finish a small group of new vessels by the end of the month. Well I didn’t quite make the end of the month, but I’m not that far off! Anyway, I just wanted to shoot out a quick note this evening to let you all know they are now finished, photographed, and posted on the website. You can find them in the E-commerce Store or the Vessels Available section. The new ones start with number 1956.
This is a group of 9 pieces, 6 of which are the more elaborate chased vessels. Most of these began as examples for my recent chasing workshop out at Studio JSD in Grand Haven, MI. I also hammered up 3 of my Luminosity pieces for this batch. Mostly I wanted to play with my new white patina on those. In the end only one of those came out with the white patina. A second one ( Luminosity 1957) went awry in the patina process, but developed into something really sweet I’ll probably never be able to reproduce. I did have a chased vessel the white patina would work on as well.
