Greetings everyone. Thank you for subscribing to my website!
I’m happy to announce that at long last I have got the photo series documenting the making of Luminous Relic #1937 finished and posted. It is absolutely stupid how long I have been working on this series. I think I started making the vessel itself 2 to 3 years ago! For various reasons the project kept getting pushed to the side, put on hold, and delayed. I actually finished making the vessel earlier this year. Since then I have been picking away at getting all the images taken along the way gathered together and edited. Last night I finally finished adding all the text to describe what I was doing in each photo. This morning I went to publish the page and got some weird error. Then it appeared that the whole thing had been erased!! Argh! Thankfully this wasn’t actually the case. I still don’t understand the error I got when trying to publish it to my site, but everything appears to be up and running. Whew!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the series, and find it useful for understanding what goes into making my work. I should also note that as I send out this email the vessel itself, Luminous Relic #1937, is still available for sale. Right now it is at Lafontsee Gallery. If interested here is a link to the piece on their website: https://www.lafontsee.com/art/4630835
As always, thank you for your support and interest in what I do.
best regards,
David Huang
