Greetings everyone. Thank you as always for subscribing to my site and being interested in what I do. I know there are a fair number of you subscribed mostly so you can get a heads up on my workshop schedule. That’s what today’s post is about! I’ll be doing 3 workshops this year.
The first two are coming up in May and will be happening out at Urban Metal Studio in Mesa, AZ. May 22-24, 2024 I’ll be doing a 3-day vessel chasing workshop. This class is open to all skill levels, and there is usually the full range of levels in these classes so one need not feel out of place if you have no experience. I’ve had students take the class who literally had no experience working with metal at all!
Immediately following this class will be another 3-day workshop happening May 25-27, 2024. This second class will be for doing patinas on copper. The patina class is loads of fun. Compared to how long it takes to do raising and chasing, patinas are like instant gratification! These two classes are being run back to back since it’s not uncommon for people to want to sign up for both.
Then later in the fall I’ll be doing my last workshop for the year at Studio JSD located in Grand Haven, MI. This one will also be my 3-day vessel chasing workshop, also open to all skill levels. (I’m not planning any intermediate/advanced vessel chasing classes this year, but you are always welcome to take the initial class again.) Studio JSD is fairly close to home for me and I’ve been telling people for years now that, yes, I’ll be doing one in MI again sometime. So this year I’m finally making good on that promise. Anyway, this class is planned for October 4-6, 2024. We don’t have all the details worked out yet, and thus it’s not open for registration currently, but I hopefully it will be real soon. I wanted to let you all know about it in this post so you could plan for it if interested.

As I type this only the classes at Urban Metal Studio are posted there now since they are the only ones open for registration. However, when the class at Studio JSD is ready I’ll get that posted on the same page. Hopefully that will be real soon!
