Greetings and happy holidays to all of you subscribed to my website!
Earlier this year I was part of the Metal Arts Society of Southern California’s (MASSC) Demo Day. For that I did a video demonstrating the raising of a small piece from flat sheet metal to planished vessel. As I don’t currently have a set up to do video editing the folks at MASSC were kind enough to take on that task using the video footage I sent them. As part of the Demo Day event there was also a short Q&A session afterward.
Recently they were kind enough to get me a copy of the edited video along with the follow up question and answer session. I got that posted to my Odysee channel a couple days ago and just now I finally got a page up on my website with the embedded video. I’ll try to get it posted to my YouTube channel soon as well, but I wanted to get a note out to you all now that this is available should you be interested.
The raising portion of the video is about 45 minutes long with another 10 to 15 minutes of Q&A at the end. For those of you who have taken one of my raising workshops you’ll know that obviously I can’t cover everything in detail in that time. I didn’t even try. However, I do feel like it’s a decent top level overview of how I go about the process. One of my past students, who was also attending the demo day event live, said she found it to be a good review of what we covered in class.
Should you be interested here is a link to this new section of my website.
As always, thank you for your interest in what I do!
best regards,
David
