3M Stretchy Tape experiments

When I was at the 2005 Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) conference in Cleveland, I spoke with the folks from 3M, who have been generous corporate sponsers for several of SNAG's conferences. They come to these conferences so us metalsmiths can drool over the new products they've been developing to assist our work. One issue I have is masking off and protecting my patina finishes from all the abrasion that happens when I polish the sterling silver rims of my vessels. They suggested their new stretchy tape (Scotch 8884). They even tossed me a roll to try out and let them know how it worked. This album is about my experiments with this product.
