Step 1: the clay model

Here's the same model from another angle. When I'm hammering the copper I keep this clay version on a lazy susan nearby so I can easily rotate it to see any angle. People often ask me if the clay model is something I hammer the copper over. Definitely not! It just wouldn't hold up to that. I expect it would be destroyed with the first hammer blow. The clay model is simply a visual reference.
