Experimental Earthship

Sometimes you just have to act on a dream. I've been wanting to have an earth sheltered building for years. The concept fascinates me in many ways. So after much planning and research I decided there was no better time in my life to go about making this dream come true. As I write this text description for my newly updated web page the building is nearly finished. I moved in and made it my studio late in the fall of 2008 after about 3 years of work (when I wasn't making art). There is still some landscaping work I want to do and I'll update this album as that progresses. However, for now you can browse lots of images and comments of the process I underwent making this really big "vessel".

Some images have been lost in the website crash that occurred. I'm sorry but it appears they are just gone forever. I have left the text that went with them which describes that part of the project.
