Vessels (available)
I started this new album because some of you viewing my site have been looking for work that is not sold and still available. It was getting really hard to find them mixed in with all the others. So I'll try to keep this album up to date with pieces that are available at my various galleries or sitting here in my studio waiting to go somewhere. The description for each piece will list where it is. If it is at a gallery (which is most often the case) I will note where it is and the gallery's name will be a link to their website. You can also always contact me to inquire about work. I'd be more than happy to help you out or answer questions. If you do contact me directly but have been directed here by one of my galleries please let me know that too so I can give them their proper credit. I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to work in partnership with the galleries that represent me, not in competition with them.
I'm also going to start listing the prices on these pieces that are available. Enough people have been inquiring about prices that it seems like I should do this. I will be listing the retail prices. Sales tax and/or shipping fees may apply and will vary from gallery to gallery. I will try to keep this information up to date but prices may change without notice.
You can email me at: huang @ davidhuang . org (Be sure to remove the spaces in the preceding address. I'm told posting an email address this way helps to stop spam web bots from picking it up and further clogging my inbox!)
When they sell I'll move them to the "Vessels (sold)" gallery. Of course, availability can change without notice.

Thanks Susanne. I can't say I was looking to imitate the Yixing teapots. I tend to just do what I do and sometimes later find my work naturally developed similarities to other styles. It's kinda fun that way.

Red Tea pieces
The Red Tea teapots remind me of the Yixing teapots. The design is exquisite and at the same time the Red Teapots look like they "grew" right out of the earth.

larger vessels
| show fullshow summaryGreetings Nancy. Thank you for asking about larger vessels that might be available. Right now I do have 3 vessels in a larger scale. Two are shown on the website, but not in the "Vessels Available" album. (I suppose they should be in here)
Greetings Nancy. Thank you for asking about larger vessels that might be available. Right now I do have 3 vessels in a larger scale. Two are shown on the website, but not in the "Vessels Available" album. (I suppose they should be in here)
The largest piece I've ever made, "Radiant Efflorescence", is still available. The entire making of this piece is documented in the photo album on this site titled "ArtPrize 2010 Entry, or Making the Really Large Vessel". This piece is $85,000.
Significantly smaller, but still on a larger scale is "Whorled Flow 923" It is pictured in the album called ArtPrize 2011 - "Numinous Community". It's on page 4 of that album. The price of this one is $7400.
I'm pretty sure there is one more still available at a gallery which I don't have a photo of. It is a Luminosity style piece hammered from a 24 inch disk of copper yielding a piece roughly 12" x 12" x 12". I don't remember the exact dimensions, but it's in that realm. I believe that one is priced at $2400. If you want to know more about this one or any of the others please send me an email at huang @ david huang . org (remove the spaces) and I'll do my best to answer and connect you with the galleries have the works.
Thanks for your interest!
